Johnson Matthey Silver Bars Have Serial Numbers
Johnson Matthey did not keep a record of serial numbers when they manufactured bars in the past, so the only thing that a serial number means is that the bar is old. The Johnson Matthey insignia and bar dimensions allow professionals to verify authenticity.
As you can see in the image to the left, my Johnson Matthey silver bullion bar has a unique serialnumber. How neat is that! I'm particularly thrilled because my bar is only one troy ounce ofsilver.
